Pass the Tasmanian Driver Knowledge Test
2027 Edition: The Tasmanian Learner Licence Knowledge Test Explained from the Tasmanian Road Rules, with 200 Practice Questions and Five Full 35-Question Mock Tests Marked Section by Section
Ebook. Also on other Apple Books and Google Play Books stores.
Preparing for the Tasmanian driver knowledge test for a car learner licence? This guide follows the Tasmanian Road Rules chapter by chapter, explains the rules at the level the test asks for, points out the traps (the compulsory section, speed limits, phones, passengers on P1, emergency and breakdown vehicles, stopping distances) and then lets you practise until the answers come without hesitation.
The real test has 35 questions in four sections, and each section has its own minimum: all 7 Compulsory questions, at least 4 of 5 Traffic Rules, at least 15 of 18 Road Rules and at least 4 of 5 Road Safety. The five mock tests in this book have 35 questions each and are marked section by section in the same way. The practice questions use the book's own three-option format, so you train on the rules rather than on a copy of the test.
What is inside:
- 12 short chapters you can read on a phone: the test format, sections and test day; your learner licence, supervisors, L plates and 80 hours; from Ls to P1, P2 and a full licence; road users, following distance and seatbelts; speed limits; keeping left, lines, markings and signs; giving way; intersections, traffic lights and level crossings; turning, U-turns and roundabouts; overtaking and sharing the road; stopping and parking; phones, alcohol, drugs, penalties, crashes and towing
- 3 appendices: numbers to remember, a glossary of Tasmanian driving terms, a seven-day revision plan and a test day checklist
- 200 original practice questions in the order of the chapters, every one with the correct answer and a short explanation
- 5 full mock tests of 35 questions, marked section by section
Rules are current at the time of writing. Where a point could not be confirmed, the book says so and tells you to check the official sources.
All questions are original. This is an independent study guide: it is not produced, endorsed or approved by any authority or test organisation, and it does not contain real test questions. It does not replace the official Tasmanian Road Rules or your supervisor's guidance.
Part of the Pass the Test series.
Method of creation: this book was written with the help of artificial intelligence tools, under the author's direction; every rule was written from its source text and reviewed and every practice question was written for this book.
