Pass the LLQP Exam

Life Licence Qualification Program. Complete Course, 800 Practice Questions and 4 Mock Exams

Ebook. Also on other Apple Books and Google Play Books stores.

Preparing for the LLQP exam? This book teaches you the rules behind the questions, then lets you practise until 60 per cent in every module is within easy reach.

The harmonized LLQP exam has four modules: Life Insurance; Accident and Sickness Insurance; Segregated Funds and Annuities; and Ethics and Professional Practice (Common Law). Each module is multiple choice with four options and 75 minutes on the clock, and the pass mark is 60 per cent in each. This course is written in plain Canadian English for career changers, newcomers to Canada and anyone studying on a phone, including readers whose first language is not English.

What is inside:

  • 18 short chapters: your licence, the course and the exam; needs analysis; term, whole life and universal life; group and business life insurance; underwriting; disability, critical illness and long-term care; investing basics; segregated funds; annuities and registered plans; group plans; the legal framework; policy provisions under the Insurance Act; professional conduct, privacy and replacement; and exam technique with 30 worked cases
  • 5 appendices: 4 mock exams, one per module (110 questions in all), with answers and explanations, and a revision sheet with a province comparison and a plain-English glossary
  • 800 original practice questions in 32 sets of 25, every one with the correct answer and a short explanation

Every rule is tied to its source: the Insurance Acts of Ontario and British Columbia, the Alberta Insurance Council, FSRA, the Insurance Council of BC, CISRO and Assuris. Where a point could not be confirmed, the book tells you to check it with your provincial regulator or course provider. Provincial differences are flagged wherever they matter, with Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta covered first. Quebec and the Civil Code version of the Ethics module are outside the scope of this book.

All questions are original. This is an independent study guide: it is not produced, endorsed or approved by CISRO, any regulator, Durham College or any course provider, it does not replace the approved LLQP course, and it does not contain real exam questions.

Method of creation: this book was written with the help of artificial intelligence tools, under the author's direction; every rule was checked against its source text and every practice question was written for this book.
